Here is a simple yet effective and fun candy craft activity.

What you need:
1. Marshmallows
At least 1 packet for every 3-4 children. This is an activity where more is better though. You can mix and match different marshmallow sizes for more variety.
2. Toothpicks
Choose toothpicks that are a little sturdier (ie thicker). Some of the cheaper varieties are prone to easy breakage and could lead to frustration.
3. Imagination
You really are limited only by how far your imagination will take you!
These marshmallow constructions are LOADS of fun to make and fun to eat as well!!!!

Note to Problogger Killer Titles Project Readers: I have chosen this post because I would LOVE some feedback on how to fashion a simple title that targets search engine keywords (such as “candy craft”). Your feedback would be invaluable and very much appreciated and I will return the visit of anyone who takes the time to leave a comment. Thank you so much.
Lollipop Biscuits are SURE to be a hit with the kids. We made these for a 7 year old birthday party that focused completely on candy craft.

Making the Biscuits
Simply make up a plain batch of biscuit dough. Roll out to around 10mm thick (half an inch or just under). Cut out circles with a biscuit or scone cutter (or anything round). You can also make alternative shapes if you prefer. Place uncooked, cut out dough onto an oven tray - allowing plenty of space in between. Carefully insert wooden popsticks into the uncooked dough. To do this, place your hand gently on top of the dough (to avoid the popstick coming through the top of the biscuit) and push the stick slowly into the side of the dough until it’s at least 1/3 of the way into the circle. Bake biscuits as normal. Allow to cool.
Decorating Your Puppet Biscuits
Decorating is only limited by your imagination. You can make up icing in whatever color/s your heart desires and then decorate with lollies. At a minimum I would recommend candy teeth and some small round candies for eyes as well as a few other shapes to allow creative juices to flow. You don’t have to leave your candy in the same shape you buy it in either. Cutting up jelly candies can lead to a whole new range of shapes and sizes to encourage creativity. Sprinkles make for a good filler. They’re not very expensive and a small amount can cover a large area. Baking choc chips are another type of candy sometimes overlooked when it comes to biscuit decoration. A few can go a looonnggg way when decorating this kind of candy craft.
