A lot of Candy Craft ideas are quite simple, such as this little Milky Way car posted recently by Planning Queen.
To create your own candy craft, all you really need to do is think about the shapes each type of candy has to offer and use those shapes to create the object of your desire.
A bit like this Candy Car really. Made from a simple Milky Way chocolate bar, 4 smarties for wheels and a tiny teddy for a driver.

These look great as Christmas Decorations or to give away as gifts.

What you need:
wrapped candies (you can use any kind - those in Christmas colours look particularly effective)
plastic lid that can easily be cut to a wreath shape (you could also use wire or anything of a similar shape)
green florist tape
curling ribbon in Christmas colors
How To Make:
Cut plastic lid so that you have a complete circle (in a wreath shape with nothing in the center). Wrap in florists tape.

Tie your candy onto the wreath using curling ribbon.
It’s a simple as that, looks great and tastes good too!

When making your own candy, a common ingredient is condensed milk. If you don’t have any on hand or would like to cut the cost of your recipe, here is a simple recipe to make your own:
CONDENSED MILK
1 cup dry milk powder
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup boiling water
3 Tbsp margarine
Place, milk powder, sugar and margarine into a bowl. Add boiling water and stir until smooth
Equal to 1 can condensed milk.
I don’t buy condensed milk anymore. When a recipe calls for condensed milk, I simply make my own. It takes all of about 2 minutes, is cheaper and much more convenient.

This is a recipe my grandmother likes to make. It’s great for licorice all-sort fans.
Ingredients:
200g (7 oz) plain sweet biscuits
125g butter (1/4 pound)
1 Tbsp golden syrup
200g (7 oz) condensed milk
1 cup coconut (optional)
250g chopped licorice allsorts
extra 1/3 cup coconut (optional)
30g copha*
200g (7 oz) dark chocolate (chopped)
Method:
Lightly grease a lamington slice tray.
Crush Biscuits.
Melt butter, golden syrup and condensed milk together. Stir until combined and leave to cool for a few minutes.
When cooled slightly, add crushed biscuits, chopped licorice allsorts and coconut.
Press mixture into Lamington or Slice Tray and sprinkle extra coconut on top (this is optional).
Set in refrigerator.
To ice, combine copha and chocolate and pour over slice. Or make your own preferred icing to top the slice with.
Set in refrigerator and cut into small squares when set.
* copha is a type of fat used in confectionery making that when melted is clear.

Making your own Rocky Road is a great candy craft that is simple and makes a great gift.

Here’s how I make my Rocky Road:
- Melting Chocolate
- Copha
- Marshmallows
- Raspberry Lollies
- Salted Peanuts
Melt chocolate and copha in microwave on medium or over a bowl of steaming water. Add marshmallows, raspberry lollies and salted peanuts to the quantity desired.
I usually keep adding until the chocolate is filled.
Pour into a slice tray and refrigerate.
Some recipes recommend unsalted peanuts but I prefer the combination of chocolate and salted peanuts. It’s divine!!!!
If you’re a fan of coconut, you can also add that. I’m not so I don’t.
It’s as simple as that. Quick and easy to make and a candy craft that’s sure to be a hit as a gift.

Edible necklaces make a very simple candy craft activity. If your kids are anything like mine then they’ll love having something hanging around their neck that they can eat!!!
They are as simple as stringing any candy with a hole in the centre onto a piece of string.
My preferred candy for edible necklaces are Fruit Loops (or a similar product).
“But Fruit Loops are cereal, not candy”, you might say.
In my mind, they’re closer to candy than they are to cereal.
And you can make MANY edible necklaces with one single box.
The bright colors make a fabulous looking necklace and they are easy to handle and relatively mess free (less chance of sticky fingers than with some other types of candy).
Kids love them. It’s a great candy craft activity!

One of the simplest and most effective candy crafts is chocolate candy craft. That of melting down chocolate and pouring it into molds in order to make a fancier version of it. It’s an activity that children of even a reasonably young age can engage in with professional looking results.
What do you need to get started with chocolate candy craft?
1. Melting Chocolate
Most stores sell chocolate that is specifically designed to be melted down and used to make your own chocolate candy. It usually comes in white, milk and dark varieties.
If you want to get fancy, you can also go down the route of adding color to white chocolate, use special essences to flavor your chocolate and add a fondue filling to your chocolate candy.
2. Candy Molds
A set like these will give you brilliant and fun results with your chocolate candy craft:

It really is a simple activity that kids and adults alike will LOVE. Use them as a birthday party activity or make as gifts to give away. Or simply enjoy the finished results yourself.

This are simple to make and look and taste FABULOUS!!!!
If you want a stylish homemade gift for not a lot of money, these cheesecake truffles are sure to be a hit.
To make them, all you need are 3 ingredients:
250g (1/2 pound) of cream cheese
2-3 packets of Oreos or a similar style of biscuit (chocolate biscuit with vanilla cream in the centre)
Melting chocolate (your choice of white, milk or dark)
Allow cream cheese to soften to room temperature and whizz in a food processor. Add Oreos until you get the texture you like (I prefer a softer texture so usually use 2 packets of biscuits. For a firmer texture, use 3 packets). Once you have a smooth mixture, take spoonfuls and roll into balls. Refrigerate until set.
Melt desired chocolate and roll balls in chocolate. Place back into the refrigerater until chocolate is set.

Here is a simple yet effective and fun candy craft activity.

What you need:
1. Marshmallows
At least 1 packet for every 3-4 children. This is an activity where more is better though. You can mix and match different marshmallow sizes for more variety.
2. Toothpicks
Choose toothpicks that are a little sturdier (ie thicker). Some of the cheaper varieties are prone to easy breakage and could lead to frustration.
3. Imagination
You really are limited only by how far your imagination will take you!
These marshmallow constructions are LOADS of fun to make and fun to eat as well!!!!
